We spent our 4th of July at Nic’s house. It was great to spend time with friends, and to enjoy fireworks without the big crowds.
Caden enjoyed the warm weather, and playing in the water. We did not PLAN on him playing in water, hints why he has no swimsuit!
We only watched about 15 minutes of fireworks, then we headed home. Caden went back and forth between LOVING the fireworks, and SCREAMING at the fireworks. I think he enjoyed them overall, but it was past his bedtime and I think he was tired. We did not want to torture the poor guy, so we headed home once he was too fussy. My husband drove, so I got the pleasure of watching even MORE fireworks on the freeway! I got to see LOT’s of shows that way!
Overall it was a fun day! I really love the 4th of July. It’s a great day to celebrate both SUMMER and this great NATION!

Way to show off my fabulous lawn there behind Caden! He was so cute flinging water all over Nick just like I planned…. hehe
I wish you could have stayed the fireworks just got better & better but didnt commence until about 11:30… you guys never would have made it that long.
Oh and you missed out on chocolate chip toffee walnut cookies, vanilla ice cream and homemade caramel… yum! I had to feed the cookies to the neighbors!
