Normally I follow the rules and actually make my Wordless Wednesday post WORDLESS. Today is a big exception! How could I not talk about the fact we are having…
Another BOY!!!!
Yesterday I had 2 ultrasounds (at two different doctors offices, FAR away from each other!). It was a long doctor day, but both confirmed that we are expecting OUR SECOND BOY come Thanksgiving!
When I first found out I was pregnant I wanted a girl, hoping to make things even. At the same time I’ve ALWAYS had a feeling I’d have ALL BOYS. I don’t know why I’ve felt like this, but I’ve had the feeling for most of my life. So as the pregnancy went on, I started to realize it may be fun to have two boys close together. I figured Caden would be closer to a brother, we’d get to use the same stuff, AND why not add more energy and craziness to our house? By the time the Ultrasound came along I decided I would be happy EITHER WAY. My main concern was that the baby was HEALTHY and developing properly.
We will not get the results of the ultrasound until tomorrow. The technician was not allowed to comment on what he saw, and my regular OBGYN had not yet received any “official” word from the specialist that was looking over the scans. The word will come in sometime tomorrow. The Technician spent about 50 minutes measuring everything from the brain, to the spine, to all the chambers of the heart, along with LOT’s of other little things! Hopefully tomorrow brings good news all around!
After seeing my OBGYN she said things were going great, and she finally feels the baby and I are growing on track. At first she was worried about the babies growth, and said I needed to consume more calories and get more rest to help the baby to grow more. I tried eating HEALTHY but still adding more calories, which did not work. Finally I still ate healthy food, but added yummy junk to the mix. I’m not sure that’s the BEST way to start growth, but it did work!
Hard to believe that this time next year Caden will be a BIG brother! I just hope that everything goes well, and the baby IS healthy and that we can have a safe on-time delivery!
